RHODE ISLAND PROVIDENCE
JUNE 6 The 30th annual Festival of Historic Houses, sponsored by the
Providence Preservation Society, will take place 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eight
houses in the Queen Anne, Victorian, and Colonial Revival styles will be
featured on the tour. Tickets, $35, at the Baker House, 217 Hope Street.

Kips Bay 2009 Decorator Show House
Newport Rhode Island 2004
The Showhouse Guild has designated the following charities to benefit from
this yearÕs showhouse: City Year Rhode Island, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Community Center, LucyÕs Hearth, Star Kids, and Visiting Nurse Services of
Newport and Bristol counties. The charities were selected based on their
work in the areas of mentoring and education.
The house is located at 287 Gibbs Avenue, Newport, Rhode Island, and is open
daily from 10am to 5pm through October 10, 2004. Tickets are available at
the door.

Garden and Herb Festival -- Tiverton

This annual event marks the start of the gardening season where visitors
will find local growers selling annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetable
plants. Other vendors will be selling jams and jellies, garden tools,
culinary blends, handmade lace, children's toys, garden ornaments, artisan
cheeses, handmade soaps, garden accents, baskets, local produce, cut
flowers, handmade crafts, birdhouses, and more. Location: Soule-Seabury

A Garden Gala Providence
June 13, 2009
This festive garden gala hosted by the Audubon Society of Rhode Island will
be set in the largest indoor garden in the state. This event will include a
silent auction as well as sumptuous food and music. Dozens of interesting
and desirable items will be on display for bidding as part of a silent
auction. Included will be local travel packages, event tickets, photography,
original artwork and more. Proceeds will support the outreach efforts of the
SocietyÕs environmental education programs. Location: Roger Williams
